Zyprexa wafer 10mg’s. Been on it for years. Used to be 7.5 mgs but went up on the wafer. I think that gives me better results.

Paperboy. Since I’m on disability it provides me with extra money without having too much clawed back!
I found zyprexa hard to take at first… Played with mood/soul/heart. Taking antidepressants helped with that. Seriously it was like draino for the brain though. Like as if nobody should have to take it, but eventually I got over it.

I’m on 15mg and I got to a stage where I’m able to study…
I got my weight under control and don’t eat sweets too often.
Alas I do sleep a lot on it though…

zyprexa makes me feel completely normal for the most part one thing i dont like about it is it makes me extremely hungry and ive gained an insane amount of weight since ive went back on it i think it is worth it tho because ive tried almost every other med and none have worked well i guess i am ok with being fat it just sucks that the majority of my shirts dont fit
I’ve been on Zyprexa since 1997. I’ve had some weight gain about 20 lbs but mostly from poor eating habits and lack of doing anything physical.

It seems that I can’t overcome partial restlessness both legs and hands. Got meds that fight paralysis, but 20mg zyprexa overpowering side meds, and I get nowhere with that. The only reason I take zyprexa is to fight invega side - dreadful panic attacks. Not happy overall but will give zyprexa more time.
Man you haven’t experienced real akathisia. The mental torture is unbeliveable. I saw you said you have only taken a low dose of an antipsychotic. Real akathisia is the most uncomfortable, torturous feeling. It’s nothing like normal restlessness that a normal person would experience.
Oh well if you haven’t experienced it you wouldn’t know.
Yes I’ve been only on a low dose of aps but I’m on the max dose of 2 antidepressants and they cause it too, but yes it is not very severe, I just rock back and forth and move my legs even when I’m in bed.

True bad akathisia causes people to kill themselves and kill other people. I wouldn’t wish akathisia on my worst enemy. Antidepressants can cause akathisia, but antipsychotics are by far the worst at causing it. It is to do with dopamine suppression.

Me too I am on it . And me too it doesn’t open my appetite as it does for others. I am just able to eat cause in my illness, without this med, I stop eating. I am fat yes but I need this med. I noticed that me too I crave more for sugars…
