"The [wolf] that I feed (wins)"

One evening, an elderly Cherokee brave told his grandson about a battle that goes on inside people.

He said, “my son, the battle is between two ‘wolves’ inside us all. One is evil. It is anger, envy, jealousy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority, and ego.

The other is good. It is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion, and faith.”

The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, “which wolf wins?”

The old Cherokee simply replied, “the one that you feed.”

I love this aphorism. Words to live by.

Me, too. Do you know how to feed the good wolf?

I suppose it takes enough practice that it becomes habit.

Be kind to people, forgiving of their faults. Remember we all have failings and faults. Be understanding and show people the respect and support you wish to receive yourself. Be positive and try to be happy, keep a good outlook on life, remember there are always people less fortunate that you. Be kind to those less fortunate, donate to good causes that strike at your heart and give your change to tthe homeless.

I had nothing to feed either of them and now they are both dead.
