The seroquel isn't working take more and risk oversleeping?

I’m likely gping through another mixed episode.
I’ve taken a little more seroquel than I normally do, but it does not work at all.
It’s late enough that I will oversleep if I take more and it ends up working all at once, but I cannot sleep without it.
Too much energy, man.

I’ve also done chamomile tea.

What do?

Were you prescribed benzodiazepines?

No.
They tried to give it to me about 12 years ago, but I refused.

I’m easily addicted and I do NOT want to go down the benzo road

In a way that’s too bad.
Benzodiazepines can squash mixed episodes.
They do for me

I was on serequel 800mg for 6+ yrs. I could stay awake for work. But driving - i dose off and bump cars in front of me at least 5 x a year.
So glad I’m on Geodon/Latuda - wired mix i know but its working for now.

If you take too many you may oversleep alright. You might sleep forever. If you simply can’t sleep with it any more taper off of it with a doctor’s assistance and take something else. Otherwise learn to accept that you won’t sleep perfectly every night and taking more can lead to tolerance.

I don’t want to be rude, but I feel like you maybe didn’t fully read or understand my post.

They’re not working right now because I’m having a mixed episode.

Usually they work fine.

I take the odd extra, but its usually only another 50mg.

Can you try laying off the screen time for an hour before bed and trying to relax
with a bath, instead of possibly taking another dose?

I apologize in that case.

Talk to your doctor about your state of mind. And if he gives you green light then just rise your dose after his suggestion. And just take it temporarily until you’re no longer affective.
