I think the views are related to those who have viewed your posts that you have made, not your profile per sea.

I just see it as there are people who are bored and/or they are too afraid to post themselves so they spend most of the times reading others post and such. I check out people on instagram when I donā€™t have anything better to do.

If someone has posted something really interesting something I relate to, I have checked their profile to see if there is another post similar.

I do usually try to interact with the post but it scares the hell out of me.

Afraid of starting my own thread. Most the time yes. Thatā€™s part of my own problem. Being stalked online by sociopaths.

When you click on someoneā€™s avatar to see it better does that count as a profile view? I do this quite often.
