The news - any oddities about how you read it?

Are there certain countries or topics that seem more significant to you, even though you have no personal connection to them?

Is international, national, or local news of more interest to you?

I hardly pay any attention to local news.

I like them both equally. I have feeds for both.

The USA for sure.

I like reading the South China Morning Post news. Generally speaking when I’m browsing the news I like to hear what the foreign perspective is of the Americas. Also read BBC news.

I like hearing stories that match my political beliefs. If that’s all I saw it would be a fault.

My favourite news comes from people who used to live somewhere, but left because it was â– â– â– â– . I find it cuts through the propaganda.

MSN feeds me random tidbits. They feed my paranoia until it’s nice and fat. I sometimes go to CTV for some despair as a dessert.

I read the headlines and assume the situation is 100X more nuanced then anything they actually talk about, whether I “agree” with the premise they put forth or not.

I don’t read the news, because it’s too triggering and upsetting…

I watch the local and read national.
