not much is known about discontinuation rates with oral-weekly formulations. Such a formulation of penfluridol is available in both the Netherlands and several other countries.

An oral weekly formulation sounds great. I’d much rather take that than a depot or daily oral pills.
It seems there aren’t many aps that do it yet though!

I prefer shots cuz they’re once every 3 weeks

This study confused me greatly. Until about halfway through, I thought they were testing the withdrawal effects of discontinuing. But they were ACTUALLY testing how long it took for patients to hate their meds enough to quit them, to see if the once-weekly pill was easier for patients to keep taking voluntarily. In case anyone else was confused.
