John Lennon was abusive to women.

wow. I wasn’t expecting that by the subject line.

He may or may not have hated me.

There have been a lot of greats. I would probably pick Sir Isaac Newton if I had to pick just one.

We had a vote in Canada for the Greatest Canadian ever back in 2004.

Tommy Douglas won. He was the one that fought for universal public “free” healthcare. The father of socialized medicine in Canada. I put “free” in quotes because we pay for it collectively through our taxes.

Yeah, I’ve heard about it The National Health Service in Britain.

Here in Canada it started out in the province of Saskatchewan in 1947, then the province of Alberta ,then spread to the rest of the country.

I wonder if he was abusive to his balls.

Dorian Gray.

I’d post his portrait, but, um…

Yeah.

I’m really tired of all this physicists, so I will give a chemist for a change, although to me the greatest man who ever live might well be the guy who invented libraries 2400 BC or 2600 BC, don’t really know. That fact may well be the biggest leap forward that human kind has ever done, since we lived in this earth for 300 000 years or more.

Here’s a good chemist for a change, Louis Pasteur(edit)
