The evidence for chlorpromazine

Good basic video @firemonkey. I’m on a phenothiazine similar to chlorpromazine called trifluoperazine (aka Stelazine). I had been taking haloperidol for a while, but the movement side effects got to be uncontrollable. Stelazine can cause movement disturbances too, but less than haloperidol, and more than chlorpromazine. However, having been on chlorpormazine in the past, I find Stelazine to be far more friendly and just as effective. It’s also nice because it relieves a lot of anxiety and is a rather soothing med to be on. Being as to how old Stelazine is and considering the new generation of atypical antipsychotics, Stelazine is rarely seen any more. Back in the day, it was one of the favorite choices among old school psychiatrists.
