You all know what I’m talking about.
Someone pours their heart out in a thread about their troubles. Maybe their cat died. Maybe they are at the beginning of a relapse or they lost their job. The problem is that you want to give them a “like” for being honest or to empathize. But to anyone looking at it, it looks like you are applauding their misery. I don’t see it a lot but it happens.

I can relate to this so much! I never know whether to give a like or not. I’ve had people get mad at me for liking a sad post before.

I can give like to a sad post only if I feel identified with what it sais!
Yeah this is the schizophrenia.com dilemma. I never know what to do on this!!!

One of the few good things Zuckerberger did for Facebook was an Empathy Icon for these situations.
