The Conversation Game

So this is how it works, each person asks a question and the next person to post answers the question and also asks a new question. One question per person, no cheating

Do you like coffee?..

I like it too much but finally have it under control.

Has anyone enjoyed listening to my fave band “The National”?

It’s tender masculinity in my opinion. The singer writes the songs with his wife.

And they are touring near me this summer.

No ive not heard of them

Are they the latest thing?

I just listened to part of one of their songs now. I prefer something louder and noisier these days. But the title of the song was brilliant “your mind is not your friend”

My question to the next person is

“Do you use headphones :headphones:?”

No they’ve been around and have amassed quite a catalogue.

A new album was released last month.

There’s a lot of psychology in their lyrics too : )

Have you been out today?

I haven’t been out today. I was out on Tuesday though! I rarely go out.

My question is

“What could or does give you hope?”

That I’ll be dead eventually then this torture will end. I rarely go out too its too much anxious feeling i stay in where i can at least relax

What gives you hope?

I became hopeful when people were talking about the gene editing company called Crispr.

The stock is way off its highs however and that’s my only insight into how things are progressing.

Growing up when I put too much weight into building muscle I always liked Beef Goulash.

It was good.

Nowadays I’m spoiled since my dad is a foodie and good cook.

But… I only eat to live. I don’t live to eat.
In fact, I must have a deep seated thing whereby I feel I don’t deserve it.

I try to savor each bite, but I race through it almost like to get it over with.

Sadly too my dad spends so much time on it and I just glom it down.

I can almost articulate it, since I’m an alcoholic with polydipsia…. I can’t help but feel that drinking is elegant and chewing isn’t.

There’s a sliver of hope here since I can have a shake for breakfast, a shake for lunch, and a sensible dinner once I’m no longer as spoiled.

Oops didn’t ask a question. Has anyones life been touched by polydispsia? It’s compulsive cold water drinking to the lay person…

@Happy2Help that polydipsia seems an awful thing to put up with. Ive not known anyone with it. I don’t know if your actively alcoholic it must be stressful and relentless if you are.

Im genuinely hoping that you overcome your troubles that we both do. Im a heavy smoker trying to quit somedays for health reasons, nothing serious health but enough to want to quit.

Ive got schizophrenia and a personality disorder and agoraphobia i struggle a lot, even using this forum is tough for me tbh

Agoraphobia sounds like hel l. I don’t know that much.

Can you get outside and take in 10 minutes of sunlight on good weather days?

That’s how little I know…

It can be slightly different for each person with the agoraphobia . Some lock themselves away at home for months or years
Some can’t go out alone and suffer extreme anxiety have panic attacks struggle to go out more than a couple of hours a week
Im the latter one and i find it getting worse over the years
