Teenager 'blind' from living off crisps and chips

I’m surprised he wasn’t diagnosed with a mental illness too. He has to be at least a little psychotic.

I saw this one. I feel like it is far more likely that he went blind from drinking 1.9 liters of vodka per day lol

I saw this too in my RSS feeds . I wonder whether he may be on the autism spectrum.

“He explained this as an aversion to certain textures of food that he really could not tolerate, and so chips and crisps were really the only types of food that he wanted and felt that he could eat.”

I have a distant cousin who’s like that

I had a student who was severely malnourished because he would only eat hot dogs and mayonnaise. All his teeth fell out and he needed porcelain implants.

Seriously? My daughter was a picky eater. I was so worried about her that I puréed raw spinach and put it in the brownie mix. I also tried to force feed her salad (that didn’t work). She’s fine but I was very worried about her.

Yeah he was an extreme case. 16 years old and 70 lbs.

Okay, no offense, but at some point, the parents need to step in and at least try to get their children into treatment, you know? Why wasn’t the child on a feeding tube at this point? Like, he didn’t just wake up blind; this started somewhere, and anyone who would rather be blind than confront their eating disorder needs to be in the hospital and probably medicated.
