Hi, so for my schiz I take Paliperidone 6mg and Sertraline 25mg. I’ve tried taking them at late evening and also morning.
However, both times I feel lethargic and sleepy all day long! What should I do? Get blood tests done? Any suggestions please? thanks!
How long have you been taking them for? Feelings of sedation tend to lessen after about 8 weeks. If it’s been that long, and the side effects are still bad, you can talk with your doctor about trying a lower dose or a different med combo.
Sometimes, you just have to put up with it for a bit. When I was psychotic, I needed a high dose that made me very sleepy and dizzy. I hated it, but I needed it for the acute treatment of my psychosis. After a few months of stability, my doctor was able to lower me to a maintenance dose. Now, I have very few side effects. But I had to put up with faithfully taking drugs with bad side effects until I was stable enough.

So I read on the web it seems both Paliperidone and Sertraline (zoloft) would make you tired! Perhaps I need to take both on late evening or something?
Me to extremly tired. But i thank god for it dont miss a dose cause im off if i do.
I’m on paliperidone 9 mg and I don’t feel sleepy or tired. I take it in the morning. Weird, huh?
Everyone is different. A lot of people make out Seroquel is very sedating. But the main side effect I have got with it has been akathisia for 30 to 40 minutes each night.
