Hey @bobbilly, remember how you said you used to have a Canon EOS 350D (Digital Rebel XT)??? I picked one up used for $22 USD shipped including the kit lens and have been tooling around with it for the past week.

It still produces nice images despite being 20 years old now. Too bad you don’t still have yours as it’s a great little camera.

Ground clamp for my hifi helps to minimize noise

It has driven me nuts for hours to find out that I must dimple the antennas of the radios to reduce the noise to the maximum minimum

Wow @shutterbug

That was a good camera the 350d. I got mine in 2006 and paid around £400 British pounds for it with basic lens from a camera shop called Jessops in the UK. I toured Indian and Nepal twice with that camera. It was a really good camera 20 years ago.

These below was what I took in India when I was 21 years old, second pic is me outside the Taj hotel in Colaba, Mumbai. I was amateur photography back then (Still am) but still all my photos are very precious to me. They can’t be replaced.

That is amazing price. I lost mine in North Goa around 2008. I left it in this house I was renting and they never returned it.

After the Canon 350d, I had a Canon 50d. Was much more expensive but looked more expensive as well so I felt vulnerable with it out in public and I don’t think it was that much better picture quality wise then my 350d but nearly double the price. And Canon lenses are expensive but do find they are much better build quality than Nikon lenses.

I got it at an online estate dispersal auction. The seller couldn’t find a battery for it and didn’t know if it or the lens worked. It’s in fantastic shape and it powered right up when I put in a fresh battery. All it needed was sensor cleaning.

BTW, you post very good photos. Good enough you should be pushing yourself to get even better. Maybe something to take your mind off of booze and smoking? It’s a great excuse to get out for a healthy walk. Just sayin’.

I also thought the 350d took the best photogenic pictures as well. The colour definition was really good. You have a good camera there @shutterbug. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it.
