The camera is $15, but a pack of film is $30.

LOL.

@ozymandias Really like this new work you been shooting.

Thanks. Been trying to keep going with all of my normal subjects being dead and brown for the winter. The sun also sets before I am done work these days, which makes it tough to photograph them.

Are these places within a x mile radius of your home?

I love how the drive-in can easily be taken for granted, but you capture and make it look extraordinary, in a journalistic way.

The hotel and motel pics are from a town called Bassano, which is about 70km away. The drive-in is from the nearest city. I cruised out last night to get some shots as I’m bored with what I have locally.

Really good work, worth it.

Peters’ Drive In rocks for both burgers and milkshakes. I do miss that place.

Great pics. Thanks for the memories. :hugs:

Did you ever make it to Boogie’s Burgers, a few blocks away?

I don’t know that place, but we moved out of Calgary to Lethbridge in April 2006.

It has been around for at least three decades. Has a total tacky 80’s vibe when you go in. Really good. I’m sorry you missed out on it, it’s got an edge on Peters’ especially since their shakes are made with real fruit not syrup.
