Switching APs

I am thinking of trying to switch from Geodon to Haldol. Has anyone tried both of those and noticed a difference.

I’ve been on Geodon, and it was just a sugar pill to me. It did nothing at all. I am currently on Haldol, 15 mg, and it has been the best med I’ve ever been on. Most people find fault with it. I have a mild tremor from it, and that’s all. I don’t take any meds for the side effects. I am probably the only person you will find who has anything good to say about it, though.

Haldol has a lot of bad side effects. The internal feeling in my body was horrible. Couldn’t find comfort even laying down fully relaxed. The feeling wasn’t permanent. I’d give it a shot though, consult with your pdoc.

Try a couple doses of geodon in the hospital but it wasn’t enough to really see any effect.

Haldol is pretty powerful. It’s like a mace or a club if your open to metaphor.

■■■■, and I am considering asking my pdoc about Haldol - I have a feeling she is not going to go to the typicals.
Looks like my blood glucose levels are going to rise - I might consider going on Zyprexa again - it is an excellent Bipolar drug

It might work, but at the first sign of discomfort or motor issues, get off that ■■■■. That stuff can become permanent.

Thx. Geodon gives me tremors in my hands but I take 50mg of benedryl and it makes them stop. Sounds crazy but it works for me pretty well.

That is an interesting tactic, glad it works.

Nurse practitioner prescribed it, it works well,
