With other service users in the group home. I purchased 8 cans today because it’s a nice day. I haven’t drank beer in 16 days. Apparently The bet was in jest but still, with a service user by a member of staff that that I can’t stop drinking for 31 days. He’s happy he won the bet and he told me. Am I in the right that I feel peed off with this member Of staff? They should Uphold confidentiality in group homes not making bets if I can stop drinking with service users.

Meh - it is unprofessional, but i wouldn’t take it personally.
I hope your drinking doesn’t cause you problems for yourself. Take care of yourself.
What did they do? That is weird. Would you feel safe in officially reporting this? I think it shows a very unhealthy and unprofessional attitude towards clients. It doesn’t exactly make it safer for you to seek help from them. (Also, if you have a serious drinking habit, could you throw the cans of beer away and seek help?).
What are you angry about exactly? The fact that you couldn’t stop drinking or that other people knew you couldn’t?
Let it go.
Take a bet face on and actually stop drinking, using a bet that you can stop drinking!

It would certainly seem inappropriate, and if you feel like reporting them, go ahead, but I think the healthier thing to do is not to worry so much about what other people may think of your ability to quit and instead to concentrate on working on your drinking issue.
Then you can prove them wrong.

I’m not seeing that. I see mixed responses. Mine certainly wasn’t against you. It was just offering advice about what I think is better for you in the long run. If you want to quit, being angry at a worker is not going to get you anywhere. Go ahead and report them if you want. Your best revenge, however, is to be successful next time.
I rooting for you - cause you talked about how much you want to stop drinking and the problems in caused you in the past.
That’s all. I’m sorry the staff is unprofessional.

My travel is imporrtent! I only go abroad 5 times a year and I thiink this good for me.
