Are you having any special food for the Super Bowl tomorrow? Lots of people do wings, pizza, etc. but I’m smoking a beef tri tip. Also gonna throw some beans on the smoker as well. I don’t really care who wins the actual game, but the food is always my favorite part haha. How about you?

I use my Traeger pellet smoker. Rub it down with olive oil and then pat coarse kosher salt and black pepper uniformly around it. Smoke it fat side up for 6 hours at 250F and then another 4 hours at 275F to crisp the outisde. I like to pull it out when the internal temp hits 203F. Usually about 10 hours. I use applewood pellets and I spritz it with apple juice every 45 minutes while smoking. I find that keeps it moist and it takes the smoke better.

Very nice! Similar to how I do pork butts on my smoker. I found that leaving it unwrapped produces delicious, epic bark.

I’m having sloppy joes cooked in the slow cooker. We’re having chicken and waffles with family earlier in the day before the game. I’ve got no dog in the fight so I just hope it’s a close game and not a blowout.

Yeah that always confused me. Football is soccer in the US and american football barely makes contact with any feet lol
