Two of the kids from our summer reado g program/day camp at my libray asked their grandmother to make me and my boss crochet blankets. They’re big, like full or queen size! Mine is grey and whote with sparkles!
That’s awesome! I love that you were rewarded for making a difference in the kids lives! Good job!
Thanks!
I have to say, it was really hard work. But rewarding.
I believe it was hard work! But I’m really impressed that you made such a difference.
Very nice Mombie!
It’s something the community really looks forward to. Especially parents because they get a safe place for their kids for 4 hours, a free lunch, crafts, outside play, socializing, AND they get a break from those kids, lol.
My boss is the driving force behind it. This year I put in more work on planning and shopping. I was in charge several days, but she does the bulk of all direction/instructing.
I’d love to be able to be a part of something like that. I used to be a leader for Girl Scouts and I loved it. But I wasn’t being followed etc back then.
Regardless of what you did and who you say was the driving force, the fact is you made a huge impression. I’m very impressed and happy for you.
I hope you’re able to do it again.
Thank you ![]()
I will be doing it again next year. I’ll be in charge for 2 of tge 3 days it will run, each week. My boss took another job that has her splitting her days between 2 libraries.
Yay! You’ll be great at it!
So thoughtful.
And beautiful blankets.
WOW! That’s so awesome. I made a crocheted blanket, my first crochet project, and it took me 4 months! I’m sure their grandma is faster and more skilled than me, but she would’ve still had to put lots of time and effort into those blankets.
So cool. The kids must really love you. ![]()
