Have any of you been able to this? Have a happy marriage and kids? What’s your secret? How does it work for you? What are the things to watch out for?
Getting on the meds let me get into a real relationship and deal with all of that. I know it’s corny but just take the pills and keep yourself groomed and fit! We are all different but if you give yourself a chance at things then good stuff will happen!
Lots of success stories around here. I’d say to you. Be confident in yourself. Be kind and Listen to your partner! Relationships are about giving and taking. A good combination of both works well. Too much of one or the other often means something isn’t right!
Good luck!
How does she deal with your negative symptoms?
What is needed for a healthy relationship.
- Love- obviously very important
- Communication- if you don’t talk to your partner about things that are bugging you they can’t do anything to fix it and vice-versa
- Respect- you must treat each other as equals
- Trust- you have to have trust otherwise you have nothing
- effort- do things to let them know you love them and support them
The end.
Yes of course. Its all about control, control and controls. Basically understand ourselves as MI.

I am married with 4 children. My wife and I have been together for 10 years, with me getting sick almost 4 years ago. It hasn’t been easy, especially since most of my early delusions revolved around her cheating and poisoning me, but we have made it work. Having a family has prevented me from letting my negative symptoms take control. Yes I still have them, but I cannot let them overwhelm me, because I have too many people counting on me.
I’m in a happy marriage and have a kid. I was diagnosed after getting married. He also has mental health issues, so communication and mutual understanding and support is the most important thing in our relationship.
