Do you like math?

I used to be good at math. But I’ve been out of school so long I don’t remember a lot of it

Yes I do. Check out coursera and edx.

I recommend programming too.

I have no idea what math is. I know what maths is though.

It’s one maths.

I’ve been studying mathematics. I’m currently reviewing whatever comes before precalc. It is a review section in the beginning of my precalc book. I’m hoping to complete calculus down the road.

Don’t forget your solutions manual! A must have for any mathematics study!

Here’s my work station:

Edit: wal Mart has 1 subject five star notebooks for $1.84. I’m going to pick up a dozen of them. They usually sell for 7 or 8 bucks

I was always the top of my class in math, 90+% avg. I got invited by the teacher to math competitions many times. I remember one term my avg was 115/120%, I got 15/20 of the bonus question. The teacher told me he can’t put more than 100% in the grade system :joy:

I liked it when I was good at it. Now most of my skills are gone and I probably couldn’t even do basic algebra problems. But nevertheless, I have three classes to go to get my degree including the one I’m registered for in the Fall, and then one of the remaining ones will be Intermediate Algebra.
I’m saving it for last. Not looking forward to it.

I can still study math and be good at it but I have no more motivation and no more goals. I can’t work and can’t even study for fun anymore.

I was a math major at a top 20 school (at the time) in the country and top 5 math program internationally or in the US. I did below average. Not sure if I can blame the schizophrenia or what. I barely passed with Cs. I got one P in probability. My GPA was so low (2.7-2.9) that I lost scholarships and stuff because you needed a 3.0 or higher. It caused severe depression and crap. I dropped out shy of 5 classes to graduate with a BA in math from a top university. It pretty much ruined my entire life.

Obviously, I can’t and will never go back. I don’t see the point in getting a degree if I can’t work or won’t work or whatever. Plus, any degree I get requires 10+ classes even math at another school.

I thought about computer engineering because it sounds fun and I love it. They make 60-80k starting off. Could be a dream of mind and something I do in the future. That’s why I want to take physics and engineering courses on Edx and coursera to keep my mind fresh and to have more confidence.

My confidence is severely lacking.

I was never smart enough to do real math competitions. You have to either be a genius or be born a mathematician to do those things. Most of those guys got autism anyways lol. I’m talking about Putnam and the other ones.
