Is it different to not be sexually attracted to intelligence but romantically attracted to intelligence.

I am definitely attracted to intelligence. I am surprised this is not common.

Definitely can sexual in the beginning and ongoing its romantic.
Above avarage so i can talk about things but im not sexually attracted to it.
It’s not a big of a deal for me, it’s just something which i except people to have.
And im good usually at making friends with able people, so it’s normal for me to not wanting it, it’s like a given. If we’re friends, you are probably able to maintain a good conversation
I guess it is a strange thing to be turned on by intelligence.
I noticed it when I met my partner.
I’ve only had one serious adult relationship. I am not very street smart whereas she was. I tend to overthink things when a quick decision is needed, whereas she was good in such situations.
At no point did whether she was at or above a certain level of intelligence come into it.
I find it attractive. It’s a must, but doesn’t matter anymore.

I’ve never been good when it comes to social interaction. I’ve always struggled to make friends. I was very lucky to have even one serious relationship. I am by nature rather asocial, but occasionally try to be more social. It has been failure after failure.
Chances of finding someone like my late wife, who loved me despite my flaws, are very low. .If they had to be very smart it would be very,very low.
I’m more of a Gordon Brown type of personality than a Tony Blair type. Intellect- Brown > Blair.

I think people are attracted to intelligence because usually it equals money.
Of course there are dumb rich people and very intelligent poor people.
But hitching your wagon to someone with smarts is a safe bet.

yes. intelligence and personality. my ex was when she was alive taught at harvard law and worked in film production. i was really only attracted to who she was i realized when her personality switched to a frigidly mean old woman. i lost all sexual attraction to her and she knew it.
