Stressful life events linked to overall, schizophrenia-related negative health outcomes

Whenever I get upset by unwanted memories of traumatic events popping into my mind I just say to myself ‘Those events never happened, it was all just a dream’. For some reason I find this much more calming than trying to use CBT to negotiate away the thought.

These days I’m using self-suggestion to erase traumatic memories by saying to myself ‘That never happened’. I’m also implanting false memories into my mind of having had more of a fulfilling sex life than I actually had, by imagining sexual encounters and saying to myself ‘That really did happen’.
