My husband recently told me that I shouldn’t be taking my meds and that he doesn’t seem to think that I really need them and he also wants to have a child so that is another reason he wants me off my meds.
I just don’t know how to make him understand that I need them. He has seen me go to the hospital about 3 or 4 times.
I guess you can’t force someone to be supportive.

That’s awful. Some people will never understand.
It is totally possible to get pregnant while taking meds. Many people on the forum have happy, healthy children.

He needs to be educated. Every time you come off n relapse, chances of effectiveness of meds could be affected!! Idk if he is just being ignorant or doesn’t care!

I can’t go without meds or I relapse.
I felt a bit paranoid today. I think if I would have taken meds as soon as I got ill I’d be symptom free now.
Get on meds you can get pregnant with
Maybe get him to talk with your shrink and your doctor could explain the necessity for meds.
Not everybody gets the importance of meds for us and it needs to be explained.
Most likely he is just not educated about medication and needs to learn if his own wife is on them.

Won’t the meds get into the baby’s brain? Then it has a higher chance of having psychosis.

I’m not sure I thought there were some meds that were safe but I could be wrong
