Does anyone here take stimulants? I get prescribed modafinil but rarely take it. I plan on taking it regularly for college which starts on the 23rd. Just took some to see how I react to it.

I avoid them like the plague. Abused them pre-SZ and don’t think they’d mix well with the illness.

I love stimulants, especially dopamine reuptake inhibitors (like cocaine and methylphenidate), but I am hospitalised so currently I’m only taking caffeine in the form of coffee and nicotine in the form of Nicorette mouth spray.

Cocaine is supposedly a “helluva drug”
But my abilify blocks it
The first time I did coke it was amazing 🥲
But then after abilify my heart just beats fast
I like psychedelics myself. I suppose they’re all very stimulating too.

Ah those are my fav really helps with my symptoms too I was on suboxone for opiate withdrawal until 2 weeks ago

You’re able to take psychedelics?? I can’t even smoke weed I freak out but before I went into psychosis I took lots of acid mushrooms ecstasy etc.

Not really. It doesn’t phase me necessarily.But antipsychotics block those too. Ketamine and molly works on my meds
In may 2014 I mixed abilify with shrooms, caffeine and alcohol and my brain practically exploded. Then I started naltrexone it turned it around for me. Not saying it works for everyone. But psychedelics now have a positive impact on me. Albeit very much blocked still. Not probably worth it but still love em 
I’m on naltrexone so I can’t take opiates, alcohol, OR salvia 
completely blocked those drugs
Weed is one of the most psychedelic drugs for me. I can take it but have to watch the dose

I was prescribed Adderall, because Invega Sustenna was so sedating. It DID help with my energy and focus, but it eventually made me very manic. So, I had to immediately stop taking it.
Now, I just drink coffee. Not as “stimulating” as Adderall, but it does help.

I am incapable of smoking weed.
After I did liquid LSD I became more sensitive to it I think
Me being stupid continued to smoke it in large quantities and gave myself psychosis

Same with me dude. I had a panic attack right after smoking weed and the next day I started getting paranoid delusions. That was the beginning of my downward spiral
Stimulants are awesome.
Psychostimulants are just straight up scary.
Thanks! I’m really passed the withdrawal now and no physical symptoms. Glad I wasn’t on methadone though I heard that’s even harder to get off of.
