It’s been about 2.5 years since I was first diagnosed as schizophrenic. Today after all that time of feeling like my meds weren’t fixing everything and having therapists tell me some of my symptoms didn’t match schizophrenia symptoms, I did another intake today to be seen at a different place and they are considering the idea that I may have borderline personality disorder as well.
I am feeling relieved and excited to continue my recovery. Maybe there are other meds that will help with the bpd symptoms. (That I can take on top of my invega)
Anyone else have multiple diagnosis?

I was diagnosed with Schizoaffective disorder bipolar type, major depressive disorder & psychosis.
I’ve had bipolar since 15 and schizophrenia since 30 and am 34 now. That means schizoaffective disorder.
It’s nice to meet someone else who hasn’t been diagnosed long. I think treatment is important in the early stages, I’m currently juggling antipsychotics to find one I can tolerate.
I have schizoaffective. sz and depression. I take prozac and geodon and risperdal. Seems to be working well for me.
I have schizoaffective disorder bipolar type and ADD. Still working on the right meds for ADD.
I think @Sunshine has been diagnosed with bpd too.

I have memories of having aspergers, being diagnosed, and being told I have it many times. I have memories of having MPD/DID in a past life. I dont have that anymore. I could be wrong about MPD/DID though. Sometimes, when you enter a parallel world, your personality changes.
