I learned to look straight at, listen to, and feel – but not attach to – any source of irritation, anxiety or threat. I started with MBSR, then ACT, then DBT, the MBBT, then the 10 StEPs. I had to be stabilized with meds before I could do this, but the meds by themselves did not do anything but slow my thoughts down.
