I was injected with Olanzapine 3 days ago and since then my mood fluctuates. I started it after 4 days of discontinuation. How long does it take to work and have anybody had similar experiences with this medication?

How iš your experiences with this medication? Is it working right away? I felt significantly better just after The injection and the day after but then my mood was depressed again. Similar experiences?
First of all, welcome to the forum.
I take Zyprexa pills, not injection, but for me, I noticed a real change starting in my first five days on only 5 mg. I was on 5 mg for the first ten days, then went up to 10 mg. By the end of the first month, I was so much better that I started looking for a full-time job again to get off disability. I have had no breakthrough hallucinations at all like I used to get on Haldol. My paranoia and delusions are completely under control.
I have more energy, I am losing weight, and I am now driving myself places and doing errands on my own instead of needing my husband to take my everywhere. I am getting things done around the house and I am very happy with the Zyprexa. It’s my miracle drug. I’ve been on it since mid-March. My lowest effective dose is 7.5 mg, I have been on that for four weeks now.

Welcome to the forum! I don’t take Olanzapine, so I can’t give advice, but I hope you start to feel better on it.
