Today I picked up a book by Peter Gay from my bookcase. The title is “The Enlightment : The rise of Modern Paganism”. The second book by Peter Gay is “The Enlightment: The Science of Freendom”.
I heard these two books are award winning in the USA so I am very interested to read them. I guess reading of these two books will increase my understanding to western history and these liberals in the USA in particular. I studied modern philosophy in Europe and the USA in my college time but I had little understanding of these modern philosophies. I hope that the books by Prof Peter Gay will help me understand western philosophy better.
