It has been the long winter
temperatures falling below -20 C often
then getting more snow and then more snow
often wondering when the spring comes?
seeing ice melting on the waterways
one sure sign that temperature is rising
have not seen those white seagulls yet
maybe in the next couple of weeks they arrive
would like the sunshine take this winter jacket
and hide it for the next winter
the sun melting ice, snow
the great feeling that this spring is coming.
