Speed reading is 'bulls--t': Science explains why you can't get through your inbox

Howard Stephen Berg can read text at tens of thousands of words per minute with nearly full comprehension. He does demonstrations of it.

I don’t think it’s bullsh-t.

The subconscious has access to all the words on a page as soon as it’s visible, but the conscious mind can only process maybe 500 of those words a minute. Bypassing the conscious mind and letting the subconscious process those words is how he does it.

I agree. I can read a novel a night

I bought a speed reading class on Udemy. Still need to do it. I believe in it, but some of it is not clear on how it works. I guess it takes practice.
