So I got a $220.00 speeding ticket in the mail. I was caught on a speed camera in my area.
The whole racket is just a scam to make more money for the City. I was clocked at 74km in a 50 km zone. Why? I was rushing my buddy to a dental emergency appointment. He was in agony.
If a Cop had pulled me over, he probably would have escorted me to the dentist’s office and not given me a ticket.
I’m still fuming!
Yeah it’s crappy tech. I got done coming home last year. Not good for someone who’se on a pension. It really is a money earner. They say it’s because of road safety and you shouldn’t speed but the road I got done on was perfectly capable of speedier traffic.

That sucks. I’m against traffic cam tickets. Lots of cities vote them out.
If we have this I don’t understand why we have to have so many cops.
Cops should just come out when called upon like the fire department.

Odd, that’s supposed to be a $115 ticket if issued by an officer. However, if it was issued by an officer it would affect your insurance and cost a lot more over the long run. Respectfully suggest not speeding in the future - dental pain is not life threatening and an extra half hour will not kill someone.
Irony is speeding / running a red light by mistake is supporting the city.
A stop sign ticket is $500 here.
Traffic tickets generate millions every year for states and local municipalities.

A cop told me, there is never a need to speed. The correct option to do would be to call an ambulance.
