When I was younger I used to spend a lot of time on BDD Central, when my OCD really started to spiral out of control. One day the forum was just gone.
There were a lot of active members too.

I hope it will last as its the best and most active forum. There is other forums and one that recently been the first in google search, but they’re not as good as this one, interface, etc
I don’t understand why the Site owner doesn’t place Google ad banners on the site. He’d make some $.
The only ad is the Sarcosine one, which is a scam, as sarcosine does nothing to improve mental health. Idk.

there was about a six to eight month period when the older forum closed down…I was upset but it came back thank goodness…

Things can get unstable sometimes. I think we may have to embrace some instability.
I noticed less people here, but it’s a good place. We are definitely messed up.

It is a conscious choice not to expose us to targeted advertisements, which can trigger paranoia in a lot of people. The owners feel the site is more accessible with only an ad from our sponsors. Sarcosine is not a scam, it just doesn’t work for everybody because every brain is different. It works great for me.
That’s a good point.
When I had delusions of reference, I had a pretty hard time with ads.
It makes me feel really good about the forum to hear that the owners are mindful about stuff like that.
