And hours go by where I’m just empty. I don’t even know any time has passed. It feels very disconcerting.
Are you doing anything or staring off into space?
@FatMama around 1 pm each day all I do is listen to music from my living room and stare at my art.
Just sitting there doing nothing
Sounds like depression assuming you’re not using drugs like weed. Weed made me sit still frozen with empty mind for over an hour, kinda like Catatonia.
Ask your psychiatrist about it, maybe depression or mild catatonia.
Have you lost interest in things that used to give you pleasure? Maybe you’re depressed. Try to make yourself do something, anything, to pass the time more enjoyably.
No weed. Just lost in my head. Not feeling anxious.
When my kids are here I’m more active but when I’m alone I just am empty but not really depressed. Hard to explain.
Maybe find things that define you more as an individual than as a mom. I mean, being a mom is everything. But it’s important to have fulfilling lives beyond that as well. What do you like to do? Who are you as a person not just as a mom? It’s good to go on that journey and discover that.
I’m not sure what I like to do. I like writing but that only is good when something comes to me. I don’t really have a lot of control over it. I used to love cooking and baking but seem to lack energy. It doesn’t help that I’ve been suffering with some sort of flu bug and it’s making it hard to do things.
Oh, well if you’re sick just rest and watch tv! I just meant when you’re well and are staring off, try to think of things you’d like to do and then do them. Also if your energy is low even when you’re not sick, have a blood test done. Check your thyroid and vitamin levels, and make sure you’re drinking enough water. Dehydration can cause fatigue. It could be the change in your estrogen has taken away energy too. I noticed a stark contrast in energy after having my ovaries removed.
I feel that it is okay to just sit and think sometimes. I guess it depends on how that makes you feel.
Ask your psychiatrist about it if its bothering you.
I really should drink more for sure
Its just weird. Not too concerned. But I will mention it to him.
Lol. Not really, haha!
I feel sometimes i was preoccupied with a toothache for 20 years. Now, the toothache is gone and i don’t know what to do with myself.
