Someone saved my life tonight

I was really really down this evening and Angie just kept loving on me and rubbing my shoulders and running her fingers through my hair telling me it was going to be alright. Really turned my mood around. I owe her big time for doing that. I now feel like it IS going to be alright. Debt worries mainly, I just needed to be loved and she did that quite well for almost two hours. I feel loved.

Small gestures can make a big difference.
I’m glad you two have worked a lot of things out and are still together.

There were times I was at the end of my rope… ready to fall apart… anger… confusion… sadness… feeling like I had no connection to this world…

my kid sis would take my hand… she’d say… “It’s Ok J… I believe you… I’m still your friend.”

that simple gesture would part the clouds in my mind.

thank you yes it does make a huge difference to me even today. I don’t usually get depressed but last night I felt lost until she started working on me with kindness…I feel lucky.

Glad you’ve overcome the bad feelings. Hope next time you have someone in place to support you just in case…

thank you mouse. I wasn’t planning on taking my life, I just stole the title from the Elton John song because I meant to say that Angie pulled me out of a deep depression, not suicide. I have had two suicide attempts years ago and learned that that is not the right thing to do because you’re down. thanks.

Sorry to hear that. How good you survived to tell your story. Hope this forum helps. I have felt down before too but ultimately am more scared of death than feeling bad. My direct family are a constant support and close company lifts my mood. Hope you foresee your triggers and understand what lifts you out of them…

Well, I have this to say about your sharing. My gal is stopping smoking, and she is going through tremendous highs and lows. Tonight is a tremendous low for her, and I’ll try running my fingers through her hair.

I’m glad you’re feeling better. Angie sounds like a good person to cultivate a relationship with.
