Someone please explain what's going on with me

I don’t know where to start or how to explain but here it goes one day I walked into a store to use the restroom at this point in time I know my mind so I try avoiding eye contact and go straight to the restroom using the uranal I see a reflection off it and see three ppl in black with there heads down as if they where praying I rush to get out and walking out the store I see a reflection off the glass of a big fire I was to scared to turn around and see and on my way out ppl are looking at me like if something is wrong. I sit in the truck waiting on my uncle then I smell sulfur real bad but don’t know why. My uncle gets back and I start balling I want to explain to him but I know how stupid and crazy is so i try and play it off by saying I miss my kids. This is the worst iv had it I’ll explain more on another forum of what usually goes on in my mind but this moment at the store I can’t seem to get out of my head I guess I’m looking for an explanation as to why this happened.

Hey. Do you mean the people were all black, like shadows? That is the most common form of visual hallucination in the world. It just has to do with how our brains perceive light and shapes. Many people see them, including perfectly healthy people. They’re sort of a brain glitch. Have you been diagnosed with anything/seen a doctor yet?

Yeah like shadows I suppose but to me it was so real the fire in the reflection is it possible to hallucinate that bad how is that normal? I’ve been wanting to go see someone seek help iv tried once they put me on a waiting list and months later when I got the letter I had already missed my appointment and never tried again. Now that I feel like I’m getting worse I want to find help again

If you only hallucinated once, it could have been a fluke from lack of sleep, too much caffeine, or something like that. If this has happened multiple times, you should really see a doctor. A general physician can order a CT scan or MRI to rule out physical causes.

If you really want to see a psychiatrist right away, the quickest route is sometimes to check yourself into the hospital. In my state, the hospital has to give you an appointment with a psychiatrist within seven days of being discharged. Be warned though, if the hospital doesn’t think you’re an urgent case, they might just send you home with a bill and never admit you.

Okay im gonna try that it’s happened more than once where I’ve hallucinated so maybe checking myself in is the best option.

Do you have good insurance? Hospital stays can be very expensive.

Can you get a nonlicense state ID in the meantime? They’ll usually give you one when your license is suspended.

When I’ve tried here in my County they told me I couldn’t since they go off same system. Witch I think is stupid but after reading up on it online I’ve herd if I go to another County and try sometimes it’ll work.

Good luck. My roommates were able to get Medicaid even though they have no state ID, so maybe you can too. The laws might be different in your state.

Here is info on Texas Medicaid. Unfortunately, it looks like you’ll have to be diagnosed with a disability to qualify for Medicaid in your state, which kind of seems like a catch-22. You should call the number they provide though, and ask them officially.

I tell you just my luck, but thank you I will call first thing in the morning.

Some states have previously offered retroactive Medicaid coverage, which pays medical bills for the three months prior to starting coverage. I don’t know if this is still offered, or if it’s available in your state.

Not all hallucinations are bad… or unnatural…

Many people hallucinate vividly when they read a book…

Or perhaps a spiritual comment, or perhaps the powerful influence of the minds around you…

I get the same level of “run away” and “I am focus of nearby attention…”

Which may be true in your case, too, if you think in words constantly…

Most people do not verbalize their thoughts telepathically, so those of us who DO… well, we stand out in the crowd, draw attention

Not ALL forms of "hallucinations’ require medicine

Since it sounds like it makes you uncomfortable, though, I would perhaps talk to your doctor about clozapine/lithium??

Only drugs that have tamped down on the delusions…
Once there are fewer delusions in your mind, the connections that others make with your mind will be calmer, happier, even beneficial
