So I talked to the doctor. She gave me Haldol for the last week of my shot when I get breakthrough symptoms. Was wondering how this worked for you guys on it
She also gave me Depakote for the racing thoughts and sleep. If it doesn’t work for sleep she’s going to give me trazadone. Was wondering about this med too and what sleeping pill I could ask her for other than trazadone that works good
I use clonazepam for sleep but only get like 6 hours of sleep
Doctor knows I’m an addict so she won’t give me narcotics
I use seroquel for sleep. Some doctors won’t give it to addicts (its street name is baby heroin even though I’ve never gotten remotely high from it) but it helps with sleep and is a moderately effective antipsychotic.
Amitriptyline is another one.
Depakote is a godsend. Keep taking it every day and you’ll notice decrease in symptoms, and yes for a couple months it helped me sleep, then they tried me on sleep medicine, then finally a typical antipsychotic.
