I was convinced it was by iggy pop and was convinced it was called something Satellite something.
It turns out it’s called “Learning to fly” by Pink Floyd 
I came across it by accident. Good song though !

This is a song from my youth. A next door neighbor kid was singing it on the school bus when we were 5. He knew all the lyrics I was very impressed.
Many years later and with the help of youtube I learned the name of the song.
