So anything good to report?

Reminds me of the time I took a chance on an enchilada platter at a Mexican restaurant. The beef and chicken ones were great. The fish enchilada? Umm … not so much lol. It was worth a try, though.

Ah, ok. I was just curious, never heard of it.

It’s some new kind of hippie ■■■■■■■■.

I love Greek yogurt! I just don’t want to eat it for every meal. Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah for some reason) is a grain that is packed with protein. It is very popular among vegetarians as a way to maximize protein intake.

Oh ok, didn’t realize you’re a vegetarian. After a good workout I like to give myself a blast of protein, lately by eating half of a 16 oz container of cottage cheese, which really is just two servings, gets me 28 g of protein in one shot.

I invited my mom to sleep over and it went fine. We were chatting casually and she was happy. And I was happy because I felt I did good. She called me ‘my daughter’ few times which she says only when she really feel it.

Yes @everhopeful today was the best day of my life. I’ve had more exciting enjoyable days but they consisted of drug use and being unhealthy. I’ve never been this healthy which is why today was #1.

There’s only a half day to work tomorrow and then I’m off for two weeks! Today I gave little trinket gifts and candies to everyone I meant to (I didn’t forget anyone or anything) so it was a great day! Looking forward to time off now!

I got caught up with some business today. I got it out of the way. I had to fill out a bunch of Workmans Comp paperwork because I injured my leg at work. I was kind of lagging and taking my time but I can’t mess around. I filled out a few pages of forms and now I just need a little more minor information from my employer to complete it.

I also finally finished a six page form from a Health Service Agency who wants to help me. Today at work was pretty neat. I work on an army base in a two floor office building that has armed guards inside the entrance to check ID’s and other related duties.

I usually talk to them, just causal small talk or joking around. I was cleaning the break room today and one of them came in to eat on his break and I got in a conversation with him about how to treat people right and just traded a couple soundbites about our views on life. After I talked to him I walked away but I could not remember a thing he just said!! But it was cool talking to the guy just the same.

Oh yeah, on the way home from work I stopped downtown to deposit my Workman’s Comp check in an ATM. It is almost always congested with traffic and kind of hard to drive with so many people walking around. But today I was relatively relaxed and I just checked out the various interesting looking people and all the skyscrapers and the beautiful businesswomen and stores and little shops.

I wish I could do that. I was walking home today and I said to myself that I should look at some of the passing people. I looked at this one person and the person distanced themselves away from me. maybe it was coincidence or maybe it was my attire or maybe they wanted to keep a respectful distance…

I like looking at buildings though. I don’t really like the store windows though or anything that reflects my image.

I talk to strangers all the time or greet them. I get shot down about 1/5 of the time but its the 4/5 who smile back who keep me going. Don’t let one, single person’s reaction make you give up. A lot of people don’t mind if you watch them or look at them. They like the attention.

And think how good you feel when someone smiles at you or is kind. If you walk around town and give people friendly looks you may just me making their day and cheering them up, which makes you feel good.

I know. I mean, everyone else walked by me like normal, but when that person distanced themselves from me…

my mind tends to reflect on one bad event more than it tends to reflect on a thousand good events…

when I get older, things might smooth out though

Yeah, I get like that too.

I finished and submitted my application to an ivy league doctoral program! I was lucky and got a fee waiver, so I didn’t have to pay the 100 dollar application fee.

I have all my letters of recommendation in from my former professors. Everything is completed, except I have to turn in GRE scores which cost 30 bucks to release (egads). I’m allowed to do that after the deadline (deadline already passed).

I have like a 1% chance of getting in, since they only admit 10% of the applicants, but hey, i tried. Check that off my bucket list lol

My bf hasn’t abandoned me due to the DX, so that’s nice. I’ve also been having some fun playing video games lately. The little things are the best things.
