I don’t think I can manage to stop snacking completely but would appreciate opinions as to what to cut down on most out of chocolate, cakes, individual fruit pies, pot noodles, biscuits, crisps.
Get rid of carbs
Sweets…
I would say all of them, especially the cakes and pies.
Maybe start with making the portions smaller and snacking less often, and substitute some of the snacks for healthier sweet things like fruits and berries
So out goes the chocolate ?
The only thing that works best for me when I don’t wanna gain is a ‘clean eating’ diet
Chocolate, cakes, pies and biscuits…
I really should eat more fruit but it tends to go off quite quickly. I’ve sometimes had those fruit in a pot but they are much more expensive than fresh fruit.
Sugar is the enemy try avoid at all cost
Bananas and pears are sweet and can last a long time as long as you don’t buy too many at once
I would say to switch to stuff like those little things of crackers you can buy at Walmart. Where it’s like like a peanut butter or cheese or something In between two crackers. They’re pretty low calorie and a good snack for if you feeling peckish
Me and my Dad always liked pistachios.
Dude, all of these are packed full of carbs and calories. They’re all really unhealthy, too. It doesn’t really matter that much which of these you choose to eat. Just try to eat as little of everything as you can.
Honestly? The entire list. Substitute fresh fruit or veggies if you can. I love roasted Brussel sprouts. I buy large bags of them frozen, toss them in olive oil, minced garlic, salt, and pepper and roast them for 45 min at 350F in the oven on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. I keep bowls of them pre-cooked in the fridge. When I need to snack on something hot and salty, those are mostly guilt-free. Nuke a small bowl of them and I’m happy.
Damn you go u.
I couldn’t touch a Brussels sprout with a 100 meter pole
I used to hate them before I learned how to cook them properly. Get them brown and crispy on the outside and add a bit of healthy fat to cut the bitterness, and you’ve got something that’s salty, sweet, and just the right amount of bitter. Especially good when roasted with bacon bits and parm cheese as well, but this IS supposed to be about health.
Went shopping. No cakes and chocolate.Bought a bit more fresh fruit than usual. Some low calorie jellies and some fruit in jelly.
There’s also low calorie ice cream if you like that. I had some and it tasted pretty much like regular ice cream, but with a lot less calories.
Mmm … I love Brussel sprouts.
Cut out sweets and limit your carbs @firemonkey
@shutterbug they say roasted pine nuts go with sprouts
