I love opossums! They’re one of my favorite animals. It’s hard for them to get rabies and they eat ticks. What’s not to like?

Actually, I used to live in the suburbs and we would see them occasionally walking our fence. We heard a commotion one night and we went on the back porch and my sisters Labrador was standing over a possum that looked dead. We left it there planning on taking care of it in the morning. It was motionless and it’s hair was a matted with our dogs saliva. By the next morning it was gone! Fooled us and the dog.
