Slowing eye movements and slowing breathing

I learned that when I do that my thoughts slow down too.

if you learn to become your breathing you won’t have any thoughts at. Then you’ll know what it is to be an animal.

It’s what meditation does mostly and sort of what you are doing. Just slows the heart beat, slows your breathing etc. Just relaxes you. Are a few ways to get there like breathing exercises and as I said meditation.

Are also a few meditation technics that don’t rely on the imaginary. Which is helpful to us as we need less escaping from reality not more.

So something like the 5 senses meditation. That you just focus a few minutes on each and only one of the 5 senses at a time ie sound, sight, touch, smell and taste. So works much the same but keeps us grounded more.

I’ve been working on this as well…

To slow the breathing… I must focus on the breathing… to focus on the breathing… I have to stop focusing on the other things going on in my head.

Good luck.

My walking is my meditation. I need not worry about becoming an animal. I may appear “human” but the inner me is “pure feline!” MEOW!

I like that… I think that is what my swimming is… a chance to clear my mind. You have to think about breathing when you swim.

There is no real noise… the only thing I see is the line down the center of the lane… very uncomplicated.

I use 3 basic Qigong breathing exercises plus some physical rehab & specific Yoga exercises to help me relax and for my aches and pains. For anyone interested, you can find exercises for all three of these to create your own custom routine too by searching on Youtube. The breathing exercises in the Qigong is what you want to focus on when you try them, the hand motions help to distract your thoughts to relax and also pass the time; don’t get caught up in the mysticism b.s.
