Sitting around on a hot Summer's Day

Here we sit on a hot Summer’s Day recalling of memories that have long gone away I’m thinking about what the future holds grasping of Glory as the metals hang from the wall along with the trophies and pictures remembering uncle’s aunts and nephews that have come and gone for an ice cream social that’s a church now we are hidden away hopes of the sun don’t melt us away and as we melt into the easy chair glimmers of smiles everywhere damn you TV for marking the past of all the things that were meant to last have almost turned around our daily lives except for this one fact you are still alive
