do you have anything you have to keep out of the house for your safety. for example i dont allow irons in my house as i did stupid things when psychotic

It’s not silly in any way at all. You’re doing what you need to do to feel secure. Nothing wrong with that.

I tried to OD when psychotic. I don’t have any dangerous drugs or meds in my house.

My son used to light candles all the time, but forgot to blow them out. Now, he uses incense. That is probably why he doesnt cook anymore, sometimes he would forget to turn off the oven-or stove. Its good that you are taking care of yourself.

I don’t think your being silly at all. I think your being very proactive.
I don’t have a gun, or ANY alcohol or overtly large knives…
Now that I quit smoking and managed stay smoke free for a month, I got rid of all my lighters, ash trays and all that.
