Signature line

Is there a way to have a signature line at the end of every post? I’m thinking about changing my username, but want to sign it as pianogal so that people know who I am.

You could put it in your tagline “aka Pianogal” or something like that. I would urge you not to change your name though…I hate it when people do it…especially long time members

and of course you could put it in manually

“-Pianogal”

Not sure I deserve thanks for the obviousness of those posts, but your welcome. Don’t change your name! lol

I’m curious what new username you have in mind though.

Zannah @Bowens I set up a poll for it

No, there’s no option for a signature line right now. Maybe in the future. Depends on the software makers.

One option is that we could put Pianogal as your tagline if you change your username.

Note that signing your posts is actually discouraged per the " Keep It Tidy" section of the Forum FAQs:

Keep It Tidy

Make the effort to put things in the right place, so that we can spend more time discussing and less cleaning up. So:

  • Don’t start a topic in the wrong category.
  • Don’t cross-post the same thing in multiple topics.
  • Don’t post no-content replies.
  • Don’t divert a topic by changing it midstream.
  • Don’t sign your posts — every post has your profile information attached to it.

Rather than posting “+1” or “Agreed”, use the Like button. Rather than taking an existing topic in a radically different direction, use Reply as a New Topic.
