I am taking drugs for Generalised Anxiety Disorder but I have a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia.
Why have I not been diagnosed with GAD??

Drugs are multipurposed.
A friend of mine who kept having vivid nightmares was given drugs for schizophrenia as a relief.
Yeah. You get some coverage with sz symptoms. For example. Depression is common. So is anxiety and they all can feed each other. I’ve found most people exist on combinations of meds. Just the way it is but it’s always about treat the symptoms. The only problem is we are all different and psychiatrists and providers have different skill sets…
