Should I be concerned about my pulse rate?

I just measured my resting pulse rate for the fun of it and mine is 48 bpm… I’ve heard that the healthy range is 60-100 bpm.
I am far from being an athlete as well
How low does it have to be in order to be concerning?

My highest bpm from my heart rate monitor was 189 but I was jogging for 30 minutes @ 7km/h straight. Lowest bpm was 70 standing still near my treadmill. 48 is considered an athlete type bpm. Strange if you don’t exercise.

You should make an appointment with a cardiologist if you can.

How old are you?

I am 18 years old.

is it always that low or was that 48 a one off?

It has always been low- but not that low. Usually it was in the low 60s but it has decreased quite a bit in the past month. When I checked yesterday, it was in the low 50s.

are you well otherwise? I would let my dr know just to be safe, that’s quite low, even for a healthy 18 yr old.
