Shipwreck stew

Just made two pots of it in my iInstant Pot. It came out great and I froze half and the remaining half will last a week.

Shipwreck stew is an easy toss everything in the Instant Pot and cook

Ingredients
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef
5-7 potatoes, cubed
1 large onion, sliced thinly
3 stalks of celery, chopped
2 cans dark red kidney beans, liquid included
2 cans whole kernel corn, liquid included
2 cans diced tomatoes, juice included
1 can green beans
4 cups beef broth or water
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
Hit the saute button your Instant pot and cook the beef for about 4 minutes.

Add in all the vegetables on top of the cooked beef.

Add your seasonings and pour in beef broth.

Set on high for 8 minutes.

When it’s done cooking do a quick release. Remove lid and stir.

My note. The lady who wrote this recipe didn’t specify what size Instant Pot she used but I think she meant an 8 quart. I made it in a 6 quart by putting only one can each of the vegetables and three cans of beef broth. Then I used the remaining cans of vegetables and other ingredients to make a second pot. Adjust ingredients yourself to make them fit in your 6 quart Instant. Pot. Like I said, you can freeze this.

That sounds good. I never make food with more than a few ingredients. I need to expand my repertoire. I’d like to learn how to make my moms tetrazzini. I did buy an onion last grocery order.

It’s really easy to make. You just cut up the vegetables and open the cans and dump everything inside then put the spices in and cook it. I looked up tetrazzini, I would be able to cook that, it’s not too complicated.

Yeah it kinda reminds me of how you make homemade chicken noodle soup. I cooked more when I was staying at my moms. I stayed up nights and didn’t have a lot to do so sometimes I’d end up making some food from scratch like pizza or cinnamon rolls. I’ve made chicken pot pies from scratch. Those things are tasty.

I printed out a recipe for chicken noodle soup two days ago. I’m going to make Kung Pao chicken first, then chicken noodle soup.

Asian food baffles me. Maybe it’s something I could look in to. There’s a huge Asian market down the street from my house. I bet they have all the stuff.

A lot of times it’s just like cooking American food except you use ingredients from an Asian market.
