I saw this in the news this morning.

Very expensive screw up.

Hope they get it fixed this weekend,

Like they say they’re going to.

Is the ship still stuck?

I heard that 20 ships that are waiting have alive animals. I hope they are in time.

They might have to unload the cargo.

Apparently it’s nearly as long as the empire state building. That ship.

I wonder how it got to be stuck like that in the first place

I read that this will bring prices up like coffee, gasoline, etc

For those who don’t know, the Suez canal connects the mediterranean sea to the red sea and its in Egypt. My mother wanted to send me to Egypt to exorcise me there lmao

The control of it also caused an invasion and almost a war. So this is a big deal.

I suspect the ship’s captain also finds parallel parking a bit of a challenge.

Heard the weather was bad when they tried passing through the canal.

Yeah @anon67051439 the big wigs have been waiting for an excuse to raise oil again.

Perhaps the ship, Ever Given, should be renamed Ever Stucken.

on the local radio, the host was entertaining thoughts that the ships navigation system was hacked but i don’t believe that. more right wing conspiracy but who knows.

who controls the Suez?

I googles it and it says the canal was owned by the French and British but was taken in 1956 and nationalised, its basically theft i’d say.
