Let’s see. Rexulti 4mg gives me weight gain, muscle stiffness, joint stiffness, joint pain, short term memory loss, constant twitching in my right eyelids. Can’t stop it it’s super annoying! No energy. I can barely walk. Funky heart rhythm, there’s times when it stops beating for 2 or 3 beats then picks up again, pretty scarey for a few seconds. I had another EKG to see if they could catch it happening. No results yet I’m still waiting.
Oh rexulti kills my appetite,I barely eat yet keep gaining weight, explain that to me doctors!
I used to think I was off the wall funny. Not so much anymore. You seem witty, though. I enjoy memes and the jokes of others. We need to laugh. It is good for us.
I get some muscle stiffness from the ap, I was shaking so severely on lithium I had to come off it and now I’m having mood swings. I’m also putting on weight which upsets me as I was really slim before and now I can’t fit in a lot of my clothes
Too many to list.
Decreased libido from Abilify Maintena. The Haldol still has me having a hard time waking up in the morning, though I am able to do it. I have terrible short-term memory, but it’s hard to say how much of that is from the meds and how much is from the illness. That and poor concentration. At least I no longer have akathisia, tremors, weight gain, inability to orgasm, erectile dysfunction, profuse sweating, or double vision, some of the side effects I’ve endured in the past. It took a long time to figure out a good med combo for me that has minimal side effects.
Lack of libido, inability to cry pretty much…
Leg tremors, nausea, oversleeping, bad memory
My mom has been diagnosed with acute transient psychotic disorder (ATPD) about 18 days ago. Before that she was fine. Doctor told me that the treatment for ATPD and schizophrenia are the same but prognosis is much better with ATPD. She is still having Auditory hallucinations and delusion (mainly religious, we are Hindu by the way), though they have reduced in intensity and she has no insight at all. I have stopped arguing with her about her delusions and I just say ok and whenever she wants to act on her delusions, I just say that we will do it later and she would have forgotten at a later time. Hope she gains insight as soon as possible. She is currently on :
Olanzapine 30 mg
Amisulpride 50 mg
Sodium valproate 900 mg
Quetianepine 25 mg
The side effect is excessive dry mouth and stuffy nose. Once she had dizziness.
Restlessness, blunted affect, akathesia, and poor memory.
I’m on Risperdal Consta, Geodon and Seroquel. I have constipation, dry mouth, a little bit of akithesia at times, lack of emotions, blunted affect, negative symptoms, complete lack of libido, oversleeping at times, poor memory, easily gain weight and adverse effect upon my creativity.
Geodon and Seroquel weaken my body dramatically. They also make me more susceptible to hypothermia in winter and hyperthermia in summer. I used to love to go backpacking, but I can’t do that now. These drugs also give me terrible constipation. I still think they are very much worth it, because these are about the only antipsychotics that don’t give me complete anhedonia. Also, I can write on these drugs. They actually give me a pretty good head for writing. I intend to stay on them until I die.
I am on Amisulpride 200mg. It gives me a lot of side effects, including fatigue, restlessness, anxiety, high prolatin level which caused bone loss thereby sciatic pain, and weight gain.
Weight gain. Not really any other effects but weight gain although I’ve been eating the same food as when I was slim and now I’m pretty overweight. I hate it
I started a new medication about 6 weeks ago. Maybe 7.
It’s working well for me. However I get sore stiff muscles in my legs and feet. Restless legs.
I have also missed my mestrual cycle.
I am dealing fairly well with the sore muscles. I can deal with no menstrual cycle. Hell that’d be a blessing. The hard one so far is restless legs.
I’m told by the doctor these side effects will go away as I stay on it. I hope she is right…
From my experience, only some of the side effects subside as you stay on the med, meanwhile most of the side effects persist. I have been on the same med (amisulpride) for more than 5 years.
erectile dysfunction… 1515151515
Less emotions, cognitive dulling, weight gain of 40lbs, akathisia, deficit syndrome, possibly tardive dyskinesia
I spoke with my nurse today regarding my restless legs that started this weekend.
She said to cool off my feet and legs. So I have removed my slippers and socks and put on some shorts. So far this has eased it considerably
Just a tip for anyone.
Abilify: knocks me out if I take it in the morning, so I try not to. Makes me drool in my sleep, have to wash my pillows way more often lol.
