Seven billion individuals

Can you believe that?

Seven billion of us, every single one is an idividual.

About three and a half billion kings and three and half billion queens.

All want the power and according to them all it’s just them and none else.

There’s more than that if you count all of the disembodied ones trying to get in

People in other countries have different values from people in the US. Even in this country you can find people who value the group more than their individual selves.

Seven billion people who got nothing to say.

i want 7 billion dollars :honey_pot:

This reminds me of a saying from my native language. Roughly translated it goes like this, “Every head is it’s own world.” (Head meaning mind.) I have found this to be true, but often when someone mentions that I suggest, “That is why it is good to remind ourselves where our feet are planted.” :smile: Here’s a quote by Bill Nye I recently read in this month’s Reader’s Digest that I find to be true. “Everyone you will ever meet know knows something you don’t.’ A cab driver told me that 30 years ago, and I’m reminded of it every single day.” What I get from it is, it is good to listen to others with an open mind as you never know what you may learn. With a good sense of humor it sounds like an intelligent man who happened to be a cab driver, very carefully reminded Bill Nye not to be so eggheaded. Sometime people project a persona around a larger group of people in order to feel comfortable. The way I think of it is that we (as people) tend to speak about different things if we are talking to a person one on one as opposed to a group. Sometimes even different between person to person. I take it this is because not everyone shares the same exact interests and so we tend to speak of what we do have common opinions on with others in an individually. With that said, I think everyone in this world has some great thoughts that many can relate to, sometimes we just never share them with each other.

It is a beautiful thing. Someone once told me, “In this world, there are more good people than bad.” I believe this to be true for the most part. In moments of anger the majority of us say mean or rude remarks especially to strangers and prejudice is not uncommon regarding certain things whether it be appearance, beliefs, or how one speaks. Still, I have found most the time, if I can be bigger than those mean, everyone has something to say I can agree on. Often the prejudice spans from a bad experience a person had with one or a few individuals or because of an environment of it. To overcome that I try to find compassion and forgiveness within my heart even if it is myself who needs those things. As Marvin Gaye once so beautifully sang, “Only love can conquer hate.” I always try to let go of whatever hateful thoughts I have for whatever reason, including hating myself. Because I know hatred, especially coupled with ignorance is a spiritual cancer whatever your beliefs are.

I am not a terribly religious person, but one thought that helps is the thought that whatever anyone believes, one thing is for sure, there are good people. Personally, I believe there is something good, I do not try to comprehend what it is nor claim to, only that it is. As Plato once said, “I must speak of nothing but virtue and all that is good.” If only we could begin to think of faith as more than just religion… I say that not to attack any religion in particular but rather that faith is a very personal thing. We should not attack each other for it. Although as I mentioned I cannot say I am a religious person, one prayer that I always found to transcend the religion it came from enough to touch the faith (whatever that may be) in ones heart is the prayer of St. Francis of Assisi for peace. If you find the word lord difficult to stomach, just imagine it is omitted. Personally, I feel unworthy of saying it in person. As far as the eternal life part, well… I don’t think we should try to be good to reach heaven, but rather try to be good for goodness sake as in the betterment of ourselves as a person and humanity. Here it goes…

Lord, make me an instrument of peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
Where there is injury, pardon;
Where there is error, the truth;
Where there is doubt, the faith;
Where there is despair, hope;
Where there is darkness, light;
And where there is sadness, joy.

O Divine Master,
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled, as to console;
To be understood, as to understand;
To be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive;
It is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
And it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen.

Hopefully someday 7 billion individuals will know that the value of life and its quality is worth more than any amount of money in the world. One person does not define the world alone. My advice is do not let a bad experience ruin the world for you. Almost sounds cliche, but one bad apple does not mean the whole tree is spoiled. A bad apple isn’t always rotten everywhere, hell, it might even make excellent fertilizer for a new seed. No matter how people look, where they are from, what they believe, or how they speak, there will always be at least one person you can relate to, you never know, might find a friend for life or even fall in love.

Fun fact: We have about 70 trillion human cells in our body. The bacteria cells we carry out number them about 10 to 1.

There are about the same number of atoms per human cell.
Each with their own little solar system.
Chew on that for awhile. :grinning:

I’m aware of the atom’s i just wasn’t aware of the bacteria, I try not to think about things at the atomic level though XD It’s just weird and mind boggling!
